Accomodates up to 4 guests
1 of the 4 Nishi-rokkaku homes, near Karasuma Oike station. Traditional Kyoto townhouse you can rest after a long day.
Kiraku Nishi-rokkaku is comprised of four adjacent, yet completely independent, "Kyomachiya" (traditional Kyoto-style townhouse) turned into luxury private villas in an alleyway hidden within a walking distance of Karasuma Oike station.
The Nishi-rokkaku villas are named after the traditional Japanese string instrument that are on display in each respective villa.
Entering the Nishi-rokkaku alleyway and to the left is Kiraku Nishi-rokkaku Sangen, named after a traditional three string, fretless lute that is played with a plectrum.
On the first floor of Sangen, guests may lounge in a living room with a plush, leather sofa juxtaposed against a "Shikkui," or traditional Japanese plaster wall, or enjoy their private garden from a traditional Japanese "Tatami" room.
The bathroom boasts a traditional "Hinoki" (Japanese cypress) bath, and up the stairs are two semi-double beds.
If you are a larger group, futons may also be prepared.
※ "Machiya hotel FUKUNE" is the former name of "Kiraku Kyoto Nishi-rokkaku"
