Accommodates up to 5 guests

Located close to Nijo Castle, Kiraku Kyoto Aneyakoji is a 90 years old “Kyomachiya” ( traditional Kyoto-style townhouse), beautifully renovated with a “Washi” (traditional Japanese paper) theme into a luxurious private villa.

As you step through Kiraku Aneyakoji’s sliding doors, you will be welcomed by the distinct, spacious entrance way of a traditional Kyomachiya home, carefully decorated with Washi illumination.

Walking to the rear of the Home, you will discover an open-air bath overlooking a private, Japanese garden.

Venture up the stairs and indulge in a Japanese tea ceremony atop a transparent floor, a distinct experience found only at Kiraku Aneyakoji.

Relax in the healing light of Washi at Kiraku Aneyakoji.

    IN KYOTO

    Kyoto’s long-established “Izusen” catering

    Shojin ryori

According to the teachings of the Buddha, “Shojin ryori” are dishes that use only ingredients such as grains, beans and vegetables instead of meat and seafood.
In addition, in order to improve the taste of the ingredients, the use of seasonings is reduced and the ingredients are used up completely.
Sensen’s Shojin Teppachi Ryori is a dish in the shape of an iron bowl that incorporates the flavors of the four seasons, bringing to life the spirit of Zen and the traditions of Kyoto cuisine.
